I did not feed my tortoise till it’s as huge as my palm just so that it could be big enough to climb over it’s container and run away.

I did not put a netting over its container just so that it could try and bite through it and let itself out and run away.

I did not place my dog next to my tortoise’s container just so that it could sit and watch my tortoise run away.

I fed my tortoise till it’s as huge as my palm just so that it could grow even bigger and that I could one day put them in a landscaped pond that I’m about to build for them.

I put a netting over its container just so that it could not try and climb out of it and run away and never come back.

I placed my dog next to my tortoise’s container just so that it could *hopefully* guard my tortoise for me and not let it even attempt to climb out of its container.

Maybe I should get a beagle instead.
Maybe it could help me sniff and locate Loti.

Loti’s probably swimming away in the monsoon drain somewhere out there, just like how the zoo animals in Madagascar ran away to THE WILD.
